SUMMER BAND SCHEDULE

-Officer Meeting August 1st

-Band Camp starts August 4th

Rehersal Scheduel:

Monday: 5-9 pm

Tuesday: 5-9 pm

Wendsday: 8-12 am

Thursday: 5-9 pm

Friday: 8-12 am

-Lake trip to BOLARA.....DTBS

-Wednsday August: Poster painting after rehersal untill about 4:00...Bring cash to chip in for PIZZA!!

-Friday August 8: Band pictures (noon to 4 pm)

-order marching shoes from mr. Knepley starting at noon.....

-Wednesday August 13: Performence- band plays at LMS cafeteria for LISD teachers, 8 am; performence- band plays at Bozarth Fowler gym for freshmen/new student orientation, 6:30 pm.

Guard Practice Schedule

Monday - Thursday 3:45 to 5:45 after school

Rifles: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 1 extra hour.

On the first 2 days of school (monday and tuesday) no practice. But we will preform at the Ice cream social @ 6:30 pm on Tuesday.

Monday, August 11- Full band rehearsal, 5-9 pm

Tuesday, August 12- Full band rehearsal, 5-9pm

Wednesday, August 13- Performance at middle school for teachers. Will load buses at the hich school band room @ 7:45 am, play 8-9, then come back to the band room. After we play, we will be done for the day. Please have your parents pick you up no later than 9:30 am!

Thursday, August 14- Preformance at the hich school at 8 am. After we play we will have practice and other events to participate in for the rest of the day. Please bring something to eat (or $) for lunch and dinner. We preform again at 6:30 for the freshman/new student orientations (Make sure you have practiced "Hey Baby"!!) After we preform, we are through for the day. Please have your parents pick you up no later than 7:30 pm.

Friday, August 15- NO REHEARSAL! YAYA!

Saturday, August 16- Band picnic @ Belton Lake Outdoor Recreation Ares (BLORA), Ft. Hood. We are working on getting a school bus. The bus will leave the band room at 10 am. The picnic is @ Live Oak pavilion. Please bring something to share (chips, cookies, soda, etc.) and $2 to help pay for the pavilion.

This year no marching during class time. We will also no have Monday night rehearsals this year. We will march from 3:45 to 5:45 Monday - Thursday until the last marching contest. The first week of school we will not rehearse Monday or Tuesday after school, but we will perform at the Ice Cream Social (Beware!) @ 6:30 on Tuesday. Here are the dates we have for marching contests:

4 October- Killeen marching contest

11 October- Marching contest (possibly in Edna, unless we fins a closer one)

18 October- UIL Region marching contest, Waco

25 October- UIL Area marching contest, Hays Consolidated (if we get a I at Region)

3 November- UIL State marching contest, Alamodome (if we are one of the top bands at Area)
